Bill O’Reilly is committed to putting people before politics and bringing the people of Chelsea back together, based on a shared vision of a positive future.

It’s time to restore stability to the Chelsea government and to focus on the countless beliefs and visions we share for all in our community, rather than focusing on what divides us, let’s find common ground to bring us together.

Background & Experience

Bill started his local involvement in 2015 with the Chelsea Area Historical Society, where he quickly became President. In his first tenure in that position, he led the effort to retire the significant debt on the society’s museum, brought stability, and increased membership. Since his retirement from the Senior Center last year, Bill has been reelected President of the CAHS.

As he has done his entire life, Bill quickly became active in and contributed to our community. Perhaps best known as the Executive Director of the Chelsea Senior Center for over five years, Bill built steadily on the legacy of this organization and further established it as a regional resource and a model for senior centers throughout the county and beyond.

Bill and his wife Becky moved to Chelsea over ten years ago as they first dabbled with being empty nesters. Prior to moving to Chelsea Bill was very active in his Dearborn community. Among the many hats he wore was PTA President at both the middle school and high school his 3 daughters attended.  He was President of their Ford Homes Historic District Neighborhood Association.

Bill holds an undergraduate degree in Management from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Development from George Washington University in Washington, DC.  His professional career spanned over 4 decades managing complex projects and organizations as well as multi-million dollar budgets.  He’s managed hundreds of employees but always focused on the team approach and making each person feel valued and heard.  His career has been almost entirely in the customer / client service area, and that focus will carry on should he be chosen as a Council Member.
